Tom Wesselmann, one of the great American Pop Art masters, is famously known for his audacious and astounding nudes.

Rejecting Abstract Expressionism, Wesselmann championed a more classical style, giving birth to the Great American Nude series. Artworks from this collection brought him to mass recognition, as many were sold to galleries such as MoMA, which purchased two.

'Reclining Nude #32', with its intense colours and flat forms, is a refined specimen of Wesselmann’s perfected style.
