Coming from an edition of fifteen etchings, 'Loulou - Masque' see Henri Matisse engage with one of his preferred subjects, a professional model named Loulou.

In 1909 Loulou had spent the whole summer with Matisse on the Mediterranean. A Parisian girl with dark hair and catlike features, Loulou inspired Matisse, who repeatedly depicted her tanned and feminine body.
