William Mackrell’s Deux Chevaux sees the young artist embark on a journey of performance art in both a literal and metaphorical sense.

Mackrell attaches a 2CV, the iconic Citroen, to two shire horses and guides the carriage through the countryside, in a contemplation of technology, modernity and innovation.

Boasting residences in Berlin and Vienna, Mackrell has exhibited around Britain, Australia, Dubai and was recently shortlisted for the Emerging International Artist Award.
